Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder which affects how a person thinks, feels and may have difficulty distinguishing between what is real and what is imaginary and may have difficulty expressing normal emotions in social situations. According to public perception schizophrenia is not split personality or multiple personality. Schizophrenia is neither caused by childhood experiences, poor parenting but the cause of this disease includes, genetics (heredity), abnormalities in the brain and possible viral infections or immune disorders. Proper treatment is necessary to neutralize this type of mental disorder.
