Depersonalization /Derealization Disorder :
Depersonalization is a persistent or recurrent feeling of detachment or estrangement from one’s self . The patient feels that he/she is out side of his body and watching him / herself from a distance . As if he /she is watching a movie where he /she is taking part . There can be perceptual alterations, distorted sense of time, emotional and physical numbing.

In Derealization there is a feelings of unreality or of being detached from his/her surrounding environment . The patient may feel as if he /she is dreaming something or as if dead. Objects or surrounding people are experienced as unreal , dreamlike , foggy, lifeless or visually distorted .
Both the above mentioned conditions are common . It needs proper treatment which includes psychotherapy and some medicines .
